For reasons unknown, I’m experiencing words come to me in rhyme. I decided to go with the flow. Here it is ;
I dreamed a vision of grandeur life,
One that is free from stress and strife.
That IS what life’s about, they say.
I think, there has to be a better way.
A trudged road with so many obstacles,
Oh how I wish I had a popsicle.
A popsicle melts cares away,
Makes everything seem okay.
How quickly we as children bounce back,
No hardened hearts at which to hack.
What is wrong with being a child again,
Where magic and miracles played in my head.
That is crazy you fool, Adult, you should be.
But, that’s where I lost what it means to be ME.
You speak nonsense, why don’t you conform?
Be quiet, you thief, go back before you were born.
I will not let you steal my dreams anymore,
And continue to live life as a bore.
If I want to live in magic and miracles, I will.
Thank you for sharing, shut up and be still.
Now that I have your attention it seems,
I will be free to dance on rays of light beams.
Free to soar higher than thoughts in my mind,
That keep me small and locked up in a bind.
High into the realm where love does abide,
Where magic and miracles also reside.
Why wouldn’t we all want to go there you ask,
To remove resistance is such a great task.
Most don’t know what you’re talking about,
And others, like me, stay confused and in doubt.
The world is changing this moment we speak,
Hail aware beings, courageous internet leaks.
Others Do dream of a grandeur life it seems,
Awareness is rising, the light’s shining its beam.
Can you imagine a peaceful planet instead?
Where loves magic and miracles dance in our head.

I can. And do, often.
Beautiful, Marianne. Keep dancing. 🙂

Much gratitude to you my friend and mentor, Grant! Thank YOU!
I’m back again, reading, and agreeing–it’s time to wake up. Now!
Hi Kathy, thank you for reading and agreeing. The more people we can get to agree the better for the world. Let’s hope it is happening!
I love this poem.
Thanks Mom. So glad to see your comment! 🙂
Oh it’s always so nice to see comments by our parents. I always get teary-eyed when one of them comments… And now I got teary-eyed for you, Marianne. Glad your mom liked your poem.
Yes, it is nice, Kathy. I was surprised. When I spoke to her on the phone, she told me she had more to say, but realized her laptop battery was draining, so shut it off thinking that the comment didn’t post. Of course, I told her they did post.
Thank you for your kind words, Kathy. Have a wonderful day.
